Carla Abellana took to Instagram and shared how her family was allegedly among the many victims of the Marcos regime

She reposted a message made by one of her cousins, who narrated how her grandfather was detained simply because they owned land that the Marcoses wanted to take over  According to Carla, the Marcoses allegedly wanted their 25-hectare property in Sta. Ana all to themselves The cousin of Carla also mentioned in his post that their grandfather was among the 'lucky' ones who got out alive.

The post of her cousin, which she shared was an account of how their grandfather was allegedly detained during the time of the Marcoses. During Martial Law, my grandfather (like many others) was detained against his will. He didn't do anything wrong or illegal. He just had a good business and some land that the Marcos administration wanted to take over.

...And he was one of the 'lucky' ones, he got out alive. He did not disappear.

Tama naman na we can't change or keep living in the past, but we do have the opportunity to shape a bright future. Tama din that we should respect other people's opinions, but also, we can't deny the facts.
